Dia dhuit!
Feel sick of the same festival of superficial celtophilia and binge-drinking on St. Patrick’s Day? Wanna do something different for the de facto day for celebration of Irish culture?
Join DSA Cleveland for Pt. I (of two!) of this month’s educational programs! We will be screening the film “The Wind That Shakes the Barley” (2006), a heart-wrenching but thought-provoking story about two brothers in the Irish War of Independence & Civil War, and the tensions that arise between them when nationalism conflicts with the pursuit of economic & social justice.
Join us at the Catholic Worker Storefront 4241 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113 starting at 5:30 pm, on Mar. 17th. There will be food and time for discussion after the film. Hope to see you all there!
